The first nine holes were inaugurated in 1951. Howard Watson, a renowned golf architect, was the designer and immediately designed the whole eighteen holes golf course. Different varieties of trees were planted and today, almost all of the species of trees growing in our climate can be found on the course. Mr. Marcel Tremblay, the course's superintendent, and his staff do a wonderful job in maintaining the course in top shape. This is the reason why Joliette is renowned to be the best manicured golf course in the province.
